The Geetha Arulmohan Scholarship Award

This education scholarship is in the amount of $500. It is available to Mercer County residents (or individuals attending school in Mercer County) pursuing education/certification/licensure in the fields of prevention, social work, counseling or substance related challenges (i.e., CADC, CPS, LCADC, CPRS, CRSP or Bachelors in the fields of social work, public health, psychology, etc).It was created in memory of Geetha Arulmohan.Geetha was the Executive Director of Mercer Council for over fourteen years.It was her personal mission to reduce the devastation caused by addiction in the Mercer County area. Her dedication to her work was well known in the community over many years.
Prior to accepting the position of Executive Director of the Mercer Council, Geetha had been employed at the Crisis Center at Helene Fuld Hospital and at the Trenton Treatment Center. She had extensive knowledge of mental health and addiction issues.
This scholarship award will be presented at the annual Prevention Awards Breakfast
